There was a strong showing from all three Tyco BMW riders during today’s qualifying at Cadwell Park. In the British Superbike class Tommy Bridewell put his S1000RR on the front row in third place, with team-mate Michael Laverty seventh for race one, and in the National 1000cc Superstock class, Alastair Seeley will start from pole position on his BMW Motorrad S1000RR.
Tommy Bridewell: “We left it late but showed that we have a good race pace on the Tyco BMW and I fully expect to be up there fighting tomorrow. The boys have worked hard with the development of the bike and I’m feeling more comfortable than ever, so yeah, I’m really looking forward to racing my S1000RR here at Cadwell Park.”
Michael Laverty: “After pretty much losing a session yesterday after the crash I have to be happy with P7 for tomorrow’s opening race. Things have certainly progressed this weekend and we should be able to do a good job on the Tyco BMW.”
Alastair Seeley: “Cadwell is a tough place to get clear track space in qualifying, but being one of my least favoured circuits of the season, I’m pretty pleased with our pace and to take pole position is very satisfying. The S1000RR is so much more nimble through the final part of the circuit, so I’m going into tomorrow’s race with added confidence.”
