Auto-Trail, the UK’s largest dedicated manufacturer of Motorhomes came on-board as the official motorhome partner of Tyco BMW for the 2017 season, and a great success it has been so far for all involved.
As a true British brand, Auto-Trail have been interesting in supporting a British Superbike team for some time and felt the success of the Tyco BMW team would fit well, with the achievements and the character of Auto-Trail’s products.
Motorhomes are a popular mode of transport and accommodation for motorsport teams and fans, providing the management, riders or support crew a relaxing and comfortable space to conduct meetings, give interviews or just unwind after a long day’s racing.

Tyco BMW team manager Philip Neill collects the sponsored motorhome from Auto-Trail’s Russell Hensman, earlier this year at the NW200
Russell Hensman, Auto-Trail’s Marketing Manager commented: “We are thrilled to have teamed up with such a force in the British Superbike roster. Tyco and BMW are two fantastic brands and the Tyco BMW team, managed by Philip Neill, is one of the most recognisable and popular on the circuit.”
As a team, we chose a 2017 Frontier Serrano for this season, which features a fixed rear bed, a luxury bathroom and a lounge area towards the cab; all trimmed in leather. Storage space has been further increased by raising the height of the bed, creating sufficient space for a paddock scooter under the rear bed with easy access.
The exterior of the motorhome has been adorned with the team branding ensuring the relationship is prominent both beside the track and on the road.
Looking ahead, 2018 delivers a wide range of additions, enhancements and developments to the diverse Auto-Trail line up, which will now include 37 different models, each with many variations both inside and out.
Tribute is now an ‘Auto-Trail Tribute’, elevating our entry level marque to its rightful place within the brand. A new Imala model, the 732, has a transverse double bed available for the first time in this range and can be registered at 3500kgs.
V-Line has continued to develop for 2018, with four SE models remaining, three of which can be upgraded with the new ‘Sports’ pack, including the GRP moulded back panel and luxury U-shaped rear lounge. A new Tracker also joins the main range, the LB is a 7.6m vehicle providing a fixed island bed, for those who insist on 5-star comfort on their travels. Both V-Line and Imala are now available with media pack, including satellite TV and navigation.
Auto-Trail have asked all existing and new customers to come and see all these new features and vehicles at many dealer open days throughout the summer (please check the website for more details), or visit stand 7-20 at the NEC Motorhome Show in October.
